Do you clip bolts, plug cams, stack pads, or crush ice?
I climb year round. However, I have a peculiar specialty, I enjoy mixed rock and ice climbing the most. I ideally clip bolts and climb ice on the same route.
How long have you been an athlete with La Sportiva?
I joined the La Sportiva team in 2008
What are some of your lifetime climbing goals?
I would like to climb at Helmcken Falls and try my hand at the crazy ice formations. I plan to return to Iceland in February 2014 to climb unclimbed ice lines. Climb M12. Continue to travel, and climb and explore in new places. To say each year, I am in the best shape of my life!
Do you have a claim to fame?
First Place Ouray Ice festival women's division mixed difficulty comp - 2009, 2011 First Place Teva Winter Games, Vail Colorado 2012 multiple first ascents in Cody Wyoming and the western fjords of Iceland. One of 20 women featured in Chris Noble's Book "Women Who Dare" Featured climber on The Weather Channel's "Epic Sports and Extreme Conditions"

What makes you tick as a climber and in the real world?

What drives you to climb? The money? The groupies? The fame? What?
I am driven to climbing because it helps me get away from mundane day to day things in life. I love that all of my focus is needed to climb. When I am climbing, all that matters is climbing. I also appreciate my time with my climbing partners and the places we get to experience.
What is your favorite movie?
I can still recite every line to "The Breakfast Club". I think I have seen that movie over 100 times.
Do you have any nicknames? Explain:
D-Money, D-Train, and Dawn Patrol are the only ones anyone has ever called me to my face.
What’s the longest you’ve gone without sleep? Why?
28 Hours. We were in Alaska and because the sun never set, we just kept moving.
If you had to be named after one of the 50 states, which would it be?
Colorado. The San Juan's have such a special place in my heart.
What did you have for lunch yesterday?
Snicker bars as usual when out ice climbing.

It would be music lyrics.
What really scares you about climbing?
Losing a partner or someone getting seriously injured.
