Do you clip bolts, plug cams, stack pads, or crush ice?
I have definitely evolved into a trad climber at heart. I love the mental aspect of this style of climbing, it's the ultimate to me. But if it's rock climbing, I'm in!
How long have you been an athlete with La Sportiva?
3 glorious years
What are some of your lifetime climbing goals?
I strive to become super well rounded and continue to learn and grow as a climber. I'd love to do more route developing in Ontario and maybe even abroad. It would also be really cool to climb 5.14 one day, and I'd like to continue to push myself on 5.13 gear.
Do you have a claim to fame?
I make some really good ninja noises while climbing.
Do you have any vices?
Besides climbing? Cookies, pie... I have no will power against homemade baked goods.
What makes you tick as a climber and in the real world?
A big part of climbing for me is the setting just as much as the climbing itself. I love the adventures, the thrills, the beautiful landscapes and inspiring rock features. Nature empowers me!
What drives you to climb? The money? The groupies? The fame? What?
It makes me feel so alive! Climbing is a spiritual quest, it's my lifelong study.
What is your favorite movie?
Anchorman. Heck, anything Will Ferrell!
Do you have any nicknames? Explain:
Timmerz & Les the Mess. A chain of strange climbing accidents/injuries earned me the "Mess" credits.

24hrs: Planes, trains and automobiles.
If you had to be named after one of the 50 states, which would it be?
Canada would be quite offended if I picked a state.
What did you have for lunch yesterday?
A tasty smoothie.
If you could hook up a thought monitor to your head, would you see pictures, hear words or would music be playing?
All of the above. It is crazy in there.
What really scares you about climbing?
Bad belays, getting injured, gear ripping.
If your life was made into a movie, what would it be called?
Life Exploring Stone
Where would you live if it could be anywhere in the world?
I wouldn't change a thing: Thornbury, Ontario for April-Oct, and travelling for the rest of the year. Though I could get pretty comfortable in Australia.
Have no food or have no gasoline?
No gas, I would get really cranky without food.
Do you wish you had sexier feet?
No! My hammerhead toe rules.
