Do you clip bolts, plug cams, stack pads, or crush ice?
I don't stack pads much because I usually start sitting down. How come there's not a "crush pads" option? Crushed ice makes my Coca-Cola nice and cold.
How long have you been an athlete with La Sportiva?
2011 is my first season. Converted and lovin' it.
What are some of your lifetime climbing goals?
An ongoing one is to develop tons of amazing boulders for people to enjoy. I'd also like to not sport climb until my 50th birthday. I would like the first sport route I climb to be a 5.14, so that I can then immediately retire to live out my golden years on hard scary trad.
Do you have a claim to fame?
I'm not totally sure, but if I had to guess it would be my ability to have a diet that should make me morbidly obese, but somehow still "climb hard"...whatever that means. Dry humor and blunt honesty have also made me...memorable.
Do you have any vices?
Climbing? They change often, and most are food based. Currently it's Lindt Touch of Sea Salt bars, Cheez Its, and Ben&Jerrys Midnight Snack.
What makes you tick as a climber and in the real world?
There's some innate desire for me to teach people. To guide and mentor them. Some of my most successful days climbing have been when I've helped someone else send. So I suppose I am driven by seeing others succeed and grow in climbing and as people. I am also obsessive compulsive so I pay attention to the most minute details of everything I do and experience. These attributes make me good at understanding how to climb things, and also allow me to excel in my work and life. Attention to detail is something very important in both climbing and life.
What drives you to climb? The money? The groupies? The fame? What?
When I was a kid it was pushing the limits of what was physically possible for me. Now it's become more of a creative pursuit. I enjoy finding new blocs and imagining a way up them. I like to call it "discovering movement".
What is your favorite movie?
Do you have any nicknames? Explain:

What’s the longest you’ve gone without sleep? Why?
I've been up for 36 hours driving cross country. I stay awake on the drive TO climbing trips because I'm excited, but tend to stop and sleep on the way home.
If you had to be named after one of the 50 states, which would it be?
Mississippi Bocchicchio Equally confusing to spell?
What did you have for lunch yesterday?
A 2ft Italian Hoagie, two slices of cheese cake, a soft pretzel, an orange Gatorade, and a Coke.
If you could hook up a thought monitor to your head, would you see pictures, hear words or would music be playing?
All of those things at the same time.
What really scares you about climbing?
Getting seriously injured. I work with my hands as well as climb with them, so a severe injury would basically shut down my entire life.
If your life was made into a movie, what would it be called?
Rocco's Modern Life? Oh wait...copyright infringement.
Where would you live if it could be anywhere in the world?
Virgin Gorda, BVI. Blue water, white sand, a nice house boat, and a lifetime of untouched rock.
Have no food or have no gasoline?
Thinking about this gave me a headache. I'll just have neither and perish.
Do you wish you had sexier feet?
All feet are gross.
