Awesome boots
I had this boot, wore the sole off after 6 years. Got re-soled from third party. Bad idea. A few years later, bought the exact same pair- I just loved the fit, comfort and look. I think they raised the cuff a bit in the current iteration (possibly for the WLF standard?) didn't make a difference- in fact, I like it a little higher.

In total, I have probably around 11 years in this boot model across 2 pairs. Took it on a NOLS semester in college. Now, I'm a professional geologist in mineral exploration in places like Alaska/Yukon/New Zealand. The thing that makes this boot great is that is the following: 1) comfort (awesome). 2) break in period (basically non-existent). 3. Just the right amount of stiffness/flex ratio- it's basically a mountaineering boot, but feels like a sneaker. I can wear them all day. 4) Full leather upper with seamless (no stitching) billows tongue (waterproof!!!) 5) NO GORETEX!!! GORETEX doesn't work when it gets dirty, and it's just a plastic bag around your foot in that case. Total marketing gimmick in a full leather boot- everything gets wet, anyway.

My one beef is that the the soles on this pair are slightly separating from the leather at the toe. It's a small peel back- only a few mm, could probably be an easy fix that should get done soon. My buddy bought a pair, and his are not doing that. Could be a one-off problem.

Love the traction
Purchased a pair for work with the US Forest Service. not direct fireline boots but WOW! amazing traction. Have about 100 miles on them so far and one 21 day fire assignment. They run small, recommend 1/2 to 1 size larger. Wear light liner socks and medium wool or blend socks
Love them so far

Review for GLACIER WLF
I have had these boots for six years and they are the best climbing boots I have ever had. As a Lineman I climb a lot and my feet are my income and after spending a day on a power pole my feet do not hurt. I am currently looking for a new pair but I can't seem to find them in the wider sizes anymore. Any one know where to find hem in the wider sizes that sport chalet and REI dont carry anymore?
