For a long time I really wanted to have under layer with pockets. So far only Pieps offered this options but garments are not available here. For some reason other (North American) companies never thought about this. It's a very easy to see that La Sportiva clothing line is created by designers who ski extensively. And you can see that some of them are racers. Pockets I think are are needed for storing transceiver while you are ski running or just skiing or in tent or to dry gloves overnight.
Material of the layer is high quality and garment is done very good. Snow is not here yet in Vancouver, British Columbia so I use this layer to bike to work. It's cold out there and soon I will go backcountry to use it in activity it's created for.
One thing ...
Only around the neck layer doesn't seems to be fitting well but I think it's me. I have a tendency to have neck free of any thing. It's not really design of this insulation layer. I love it and I would recommend it for cross sport use (biking, skiing or alpine climbing).
