the ideal lightweight, island vacation, deep water soloing/bouldering shoe. I can wad it up with a chalk bag and sneak it into a piece of baggage like contraband after I’ve finished packing and I feel like there’s remaining space for anything else in the day pack. It’s perfect for steep limestone and beach coral with pockets and sharp horns. They dry quickly and climb quite well when it’s wet if you have to swim out to the base of the rock. Who cares if it can edge when most islands have steep sharp limestone rock! Even if your significant other thought that it was supposed to be a relaxing beach vacation, you’ll be ready to smuggle a pair of speedsters through customs to respond to that one killer line that you’ll inevitably encounter. - Timy Fairfield
