Not JUST for running! These are the lightest shoes around with sticky rubber. I love these as approach shoes for rock climbs when they have to hang off my harness or in a light hydration pack. I hardly notice them when I'm doing multi-pitch in Eldo or elsewhere. Bomber harness clip point, too.

I ran the Austin,TX. Tough Mudder on 4-20-13 and the Vertical Ks did not let me down. They did EXACTLY what I wanted on the rocky climbs and thru all the mud. Thank you LA Sportiva.

After trying the Speedcross # which I thought was a great shoe, the Brooks TrueGrit (also great) I went with the Vertical K's. I have used this shoe for many trail runs from soft and loose to hard pack and rock gardens this shoe is a great performer. I have also climbed a few 14's as well and the shoe was great. Not the ankle support you may need on 14 style ascents but really a great shoe. Very light, packs very easy, great tight fit, incredible traction.

I've run a few hundred miles in my vertical K's, including a 50 mile race. I was skeptical on how "thick" the sole is, since I come from a barefoot/minimalist background. I love these shoes, and have been pleasantly surprised with how much feedback I still get from the ground with the amount of cushion supplied. These are one of my favorite shoes for the longer runs for that reason- cushion + feedback. They are lightweight and flexible. I agree with other reviews on size- best to go up at least 1/2 size.

I have been a loyal C-Lite wearer with having run through 17 pairs, but I have to say that I’m now doing the majority of my runs in the Vert K’s. I slowly transitioned down to them and have just loved them. Best trail shoe I have ever worn in my 30+ years of running.

I have been really surprised with how well they have lasted with very little wear. I have 2 pairs currently that I’m rotating and have over 50 hours of running in each pair, with still lots of life left. With the C-Lites, I usually found that they were close to the end of their life by the same number of hours.

I’ve never used any sort of minimalist footwear previously, but these are such a revelation! I was doubtful at first, planning to use them only for ski mountaineering dry approaches that are too long to hike in ski boots, but short enough that any trail runners will be carried for long stretches after that. So I brought these along on a hut trip thinking they’d mainly be on my pack ... but instead all the skiable couloirs were separated by long unskiable/unskinnable hikes. So I spent most of the trip hiking with all my ski gear and overnight gear on my back. Amazingly, despite all that weight, stability was excellent. Traction was excellent on dry rock (including a marked trail that has surprisingly difficult bouldering), wet rock, and soft snow. Traction was still pretty good on some lower-angle icy sections. Drawbacks? When scrambling on really sharp rocks, occasionally one will poke into the sole between the lugs – bearable, but not comfy. And traction seemed poor on super-slippery slimy logs, although then again, maybe almost any should would have been too? Re sizing, I went my usual size (i.e., same as on the Crosslite 2.0). After ditching the removable insoles (another 1.1 ounces of saved weight, per pair), the tight was still very snug, but since the uppers are almost more like socks (which also probably eliminates the chance of blisters), I think that’s the best kind of fit for these shoes.

Fantastic shoes. Incredibly light. Amazing fit. Exceptional flexibility. I have used them on every kind of terrain imaginable and posted my fastest times yet in the process. I take a 44.5 in every boot and shoe I own from La Sportiva; the fit is consistent across the board. I plan to wear them in the Lost Soul 100k Ultra in September. Congratulations on a great shoes.

I took the Vertical K out for an run and they are sweet! The cushioning and traction are amazing for such a lightweight shoe. This has all the makings of a game-changer! They run a little small like other morpho models so I would probably size up 1/2 a size.
