Dale Remsberg

Discipline: Climbing Team

ABOUT:

Dale Remsberg is an IFMGA Mountain Guide based in Lafayette, Colorado. Dale currently serves as the technical director of the American Mountain Guides Association, which includes instructing and examining aspiring guides. Dale prides himself in high-end skills in all the disciplines and can still be found out cruising on difficult terrain in places like Eldorado Canyon or remote ice climbs in the Canadian Rockies. Dale is motivated for almost any adventure and every year. Dale works with dozens of guests to help them achieve their dream climbs around the globe.  Areas like Red Rock Nevada or thin ice drips in the Ghost River Canada are his specialty but you will also find him teaching new climbers how to progress through the grades safely and efficiently. When not guiding you will find him focused on a personal project ideally at a secret crag with his dog Indie in tow. Whatever his endeavor, his quiet determination and love of the mountains will generally ensure success with a smile on his face.

PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

1. That I’m still alive after all the alpine and ice climbing I have done
2. Guiding a guest who was 72 years young up the Mittellegi Ridge on the Eiger
3. Making a sustainable career as a Mountain Guide
4. Guiding the Sorcerer Hydrophobia Link up in the Ghost River Canada three times
5. Responsibly owning a dog :)
