Discipline: Mountain RunningĀ® Team

I have a passion for exploring remote and wild corners of the wilderness, whether it be linking up scrambles in the High Sierra or discovering waterfalls in the rugged canyons of Big Sur. For me, it’s all about exploring nature’s beauty and accessing remote and rugged spots. I also enjoy feeling the flow of nature's beauty by moving swiftly and taking in a lot of scenery in a short amount of time.

Growing up Sammamish, Washington State, my father introduced me to the outdoors and adventure at a very young age starting with hikes in the Cascades and skiing at local resorts. These explorations evolved into backpacking and mountaineering trips as I grew older. My first pair of boots were La Sportiva Makalus! At the same time, I was running competitive track and cross country from Junior High all the way through NCAA Division I in college at Rice University. During this time I discovered that running to remote spots in the wilderness would enable me to experience more of these places where my heart was drawn. From that point my form of adventure running was born and La Sportiva mountain running shoes have been enabling my adventure runs since.

Almost as much as the adventures themselves, I enjoy capturing the scenery and sharing the photography upon my return. I’m also a huge weather geek and I can spend hours tracking current and future weather conditions. I currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area and work as an attorney where I take work-life balance seriously!
