Oddly enough, I did go to climbing birthday parties as a child but never took much interest. My climbing journey really began about 4 years ago when some of my family members started climbing once a week on weekends and I decided to tag along. This time around, something clicked and I've been head over heels for the sport ever since. Currently, I am finishing up my last year studying for my Biomedical Engineering degree. While school and work are hectic, training for climbing has always kept me motivated. As a born and raised California resident, I'm incredibly lucky to have access to many world class bouldering destinations such as Bishop, Red Rock, and Tahoe.
Climbing has impacted my life in a way that I think many others can relate to. This sport has brought me a multitude of opportunities to challenge myself and grow, meet and connect with others, and learn about the environment around me. I know that this is just the beginning of my climbing journey and I am so excited for what is to come and grateful to La Sportiva for supporting me.
1. Balancing being a full time engineering student, working at a start up, and climbing
2. Doing my first one arm pull up (while this skill is a party trick, it was still a cool benchmark to achieve)
3. Sending my first V7 (Tour de France, stand at Black Mountain). Earlier this day, I sent my first V4 and hadn't sent harder than v2 before that.
