Long run friend
Coming from the Bushido this is the shoe of choice for long runs. Did IMTUF100 with only minimal shoe adjustment and no hot spots. Less precision than Bushido but much more comfortable. Own three pair and buying the next.

Foam Issues
First off, I own many La Sportiva shoes/boots. From the Akasha to the Olympus Mons. I LOVE THEM. However, this shoe has been nothing but a pain in the butt for me. I exchanged my last shoe because the rear foam near the achellies folded into itself and created a hot spot. La Sportiva were great enough to give me a new pair and this pair has done it too. I have tried to "unroll" the foam inside the fabric but it won't go back. This shoe may be more trouble than it's worth. With that said, the shoe that is still perfect on my other foot is super comfy and a great fit.

magic slippers
Fantastic shoe. Ran 12 miles with 5500 feet of climbing right out of the box. Never had a blister in them. On my second pair now. Supportive and sensitive enough for tech trails. I sized up a half size to 11.5 US.

Great All Purpose Shoe
My favorite trail running shoe for training and long racing! A very agile shoe with good cushioning to keep you comfortable for hours. The tread is aggressive yet if I hit some pavement I don't even notice I'm running on big lugs. It's a do everything shoe for me.

Best All Around Mountain Running Shoe
The best running shoes I have ever had. No blisters on runs up to 18 miles. Awesome support and cushioning for rocky trails. The tread and rubber are sticky and inspire confidence on ridge traverses. Super breathable and lightweight for the amount of cushion!

FIRST 65K Utra
I picked up a pair of Akasha's for a Desert 65k Ultra trail run I did in Namibia (the furthest Ive ran was 21k before), with lots of slippery boulders, fine riverbed sand and uneven terrain almost all the competitors struggled with sand coming through the mesh of their shoes, even with gaiters, countless toenails where lost and sand emptied from shoes.

I finished without a single blister or grain of sand (with a mini gaiter), the Akasha is extremely comfortable for the long runs and require no break in period. Best shoe I've ever owned, and they still look brand new 200k later.
