Easy on and off convenience makes this sporty, high-end edging and smearing shoe a must for bouldering and technical climbing. We pulled key design elements from the Miura and incorporated them into this three strap hook-and-loop closure system. The one-piece leather upper has a synthetic lining to control stretch and is unlined under the foot to allow for excellent sensitivity on micro edges and smears. The Miura VS is built with the P3® platform for a continued down turn shape which makes it excellent for steep overhangs.

• Ideal terrain: Overhanging sport routes, bouldering, gym climbing and technical face climbing

• Slingshot Rand and Powerhinge System gives you the ultimate edging power

• 4mm Vibram® XS Edge™ sticky rubber outsole

amazing all the way around
This is the only shoe that I will wear if I'm working on routes that I care about. They are wonderful when trying to heel hook or toe hook, and edging in them is easy as well. It is comfortable and high quality. I only had one issue with one pair, which was the rubber on the toe peeled after 6 months, but other than that I haven't had any issues. These shoes are super versatile and I hope I am able to get them far into the future!!

Muira VS Review
I like these shoes a lot, they're definitely the most comfortable shoe I've worn that can boast the level of aggression and capability the Muira can. Positives include comfort, the grip and ability to hold weight on an edge, and ease of removal. They also win bonus points for being super durable in my book. There's a couple complaints I have, though they are small complaints. My feet are a bit low in volume, so even sized correctly there's a bit of space at the top of the down-turn. This means keeping a foot on edges that are more than a foot or two away from the bulk of my body weight (mostly found bouldering, and on hard sport routes) becomes more difficult. The shoes also feel pretty stiff even after being broken in, and while keeping edges is great, I feel a lack of tactile feedback from the shoes. Finding edges and feeling them out just isn't quite what I want it to be. Again, this is a problem that largely only affects bouldering and weird sport climbs...which is oddly what La Sportiva suggests the shoe is designed for. I use these shoes for warm-ups and anything longer than a single short pitch. Again, super comfortable, super easy, fairly capable. I would absolutely recommend these shoes with the warning that if your feet are short/thin like mine, take La Sportiva's idea of what the shoes are designed for with a grain of salt. For me, they're a great pair to have around for anything less than bouldering at my limit. 4/5

A monster in much
These shoes are some of the best I have ever tried on or worn. Before I got these I was climbing in a hand me down pair of evolvs from my older brother. After trying on multiple shoes from LS, I got the genius, but they were too small for my wider feet. Remembering how much my brother loves his muira vs, I decided to trade in the genius for a pair. Best choice ever. I quite literally jumped from only being able to do about V1-2 to almost V6-7 in just under 3 months! The edging abilities of these shoes is the best I have ever seen, and they perform amazing for all types of climbing, from hard overhang bouldering to long sport routes. I sized my shoes down to a 43 1\2 while I wear a 45. I definitely recommend these shoes to anyone, from more beginner climbers to very advanced pros. Beautiful work LS!!

Review for MIURA VS
For me the Miura VS has the best heel for heel hooking. Plus the toe is down-turned slightly so you get good grab on overhanging rock. The velcro provides snug closure but can interfere with some toe hooks.

Review for MIURA VS
For the past decade, the Miura has been my favorite shoe. No matter if Im on a techy multi-pitch trad line or a short, power sport route, the Miura has performed admirably. My only minor complaint was the hassle of lacing the shoes for optimal fit. Serendipity would have it that a few years ago La Sportiva launched a new version of the Miura with a Velcro closure systemthe perfect shoe just got better with the Miura VS!

Review for MIURA VS
This is the best climbing shoe I've ever worn! Aggressively downturned with a precision toe that edges on razor blades yet is comfortable enough to wear for 23 pitches up Half Dome. I would take this shoe anywhere.

Review for MIURA VS
I ABSOLUTLY LOVE THIS SHOE!!! I was cramming my foot into evolves for the last 2 years ( which are still great shoes, other then you can barely bare the smell of them after a year, right when you blow through the toe) but I couldn't believe how comfortable this shoe it, at least for my foot any way. I have found my climbing shoe brand!! Love LA Sportive!! amazing shoes both ascent shoes and climbing shoes! DONT EVER GET RID OF THE MIURA VS SHOE, LA SPORTIVA!! I will have an emotional and climbing break down. Going to get the solutions next, so I can climb like Jon Siegrist..... hell's yah!!!
