Worked well on Everest!
I've used used my LS Olympus Mons Evo's on Aconcagua, Vinson Massif, Denali and Everest, so I got some good mileage on them and they worked really well. For my feet, these boots fit better than any other brand, and I tried them all.
The sizing of the Olympus Mons Evo is different from regular mountaineering boots, I have two sizes bigger than normal, although I had actually expected that the sizing would be proportionally the same. In any case, good thing is that they come in half sizes too, so I could find the absolute perfect fit, not having to make any compromises. The shop where I bought them was well stocked and I have tried several different sizes. I upgraded the insoles with SuperFeet to make them even more comfortable. The automatic binding of my crampons fits perfectly on the welts, they never came off on any expedition. One of the key points of any 8000m boot is of course to prevent your toes from freezing, and the Olympus Mons always kept me nice and warm, even in temperatures close to -40C.
Other key reasons for me to buy the Olympus Mons Evo: they are relatively light and less bulky than some other brands, and they have a clever lacing system that works well, even with thicker gloves. Although the design was not a major factor in my decision making, I actually quite like it!
Overall: one of the best items of my expedition gear that has served me well on several big peaks!
