Overall boots have been very comfortable. This was my first pair of La Sportiva's. Fit is good, light and the heel braking system actually works on downhills. One complaint I have is that I've burned through 3 pairs of shoelaces that are fraying at the metal eyelets near the top of the boot. When snugging up the laces they abrade against the sharpest edge of the eyelet and wear the laces. In short time the laces outer fabric separates leaving only the internal rope of the lace. The separated fabric of the laces bunches up making the process of tying the boot laces a real pain until their replaced. Need to have a more durable lace or correct the eyelet design to rounder edges.

I went in to buy cubes for hunting at 2000 max elevation and came out with these. I was bragging to my wife I got Italian boots then I got home and was totally bummed that there made in china. I only hope they followed the Italian design and build quality. Not the warmest for sub zero but the best boot I have ever owned in my life. Follow the application for socks. I just hunted in 18 degree (F) weather my feet were a bit chilly after a 4 hour sit but not cold with wool socks, I'm so impressed with these boots that I cannot believe them. I was military for a whole career 24 years and I have hunted 6 weeks each year all my life in the great outdoors. I own around 40 pairs of boots many top brand usa boots. These are the boot for lightweight walking, they grip Pennsylvania applachian mountain terrain wonderful. Mud, wet leaves, rocks they grip well above average. It rained all day the one day from sunrise to sunset my feet were still dry inside. I do not trust the made in china boots with glued soles so I would take back up boots for when the sole does fall off on a trip somewhere but until that happens they are top gun. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE WITH THE TECHNOLOGY INSIDE THE BOOT. To most people they wouldn't know these from 20 dollar boots but I know what they are and how well they perform. THANK YOU LA SPORTIVA

I bought these boots two months ago in preparation for 7 days on the JMT and I was so glad I did! In addition to being the most comfortable boot I have ever worn, the stability, lightness, and forward-leaning construction, makes them feel more like a trail running shoe than any hiking boot I have ever worn. I would highly recommend these boots!

Like the other reviews posted, I was immediately in love with these boots. Zero "break in" time. From day one, these have been the most comfortable, durable boots I've ever owned. From hiking the heat in Southern Utah to the mountain trails of Northern Utah, and the dampness of Mt. Rainier National Park, these boots are perfect. I'm honestly considering buying another pair, just so I have one when I wear this pair out.

The La Sportiva Nucleo High GTX hiking boots. The only boots out of the box that I did not receive a single blister from. It felt as though I were Cinderella; after searching for my slipper I finally found the perfect fit.
The Nucleo boots are truly the best hiking boots I have ever owned. Let me take you through a trip I took recently. June 20, 2017 in Abel Tasman national park, New Zealand. We were on the Tasman Sea, kayaking through slightly rough waters attempting to get to our campsite before the rain began. After pulling up onto the beach, we assessed the clouds and decided to take off on a day hike as the sun had graced us with its presence. 2 hours in, a hiker's worst nightmare: treacherous clouds, no rain jacket, and the fear that you left your spare clothes outside of the tent. We began our descent into the valley where our tent was set up. The mist turned into sprinkles, sprinkles to drops, and drops soon to a full-on torrential downpour. The rain so dense my shirt began to stick to my chest like an under armour compression shirt, yet mine was made of cotton and a size large. When we got to the site, my worst nightmare came to fruition. All of my clothing, soaked. It was as if Natalie had thrown me and my suitcase into the pool to get back at me for putting her bed in the basement while she was asleep (and I still haven't forgotten about my water damaged phone if you're reading this Natalie).
I quickly worked to get everything dry into the tent. My friend Andy built a makeshift rain cover to keep what was wet from getting even wetter. The sun had yet to set, but all we wanted to do was get into the tent and warm up. As I crawled, cold and tired, all I could think about was wow...my feet are so dry. How is that even possible? Well I'll tell you how it's possible - these Nucleo High GTX hiking boots are fully waterproof, keep your feet warm, your socks dry, and your spirits high after encountering any weather conditions.

After trying different brands I finally zeroed in these boots. They are comfortable, light weight and provide good arc support.

Just got one - fabulous. It's light and you don't even feel like you're wearing a boot. Used in the city and lived in it in the mountains.
