Unparalleled comfort, traction and support. I have been hiking, climbing, mountaineering for nearly forty years (!) and these boots have surpassed any boot I have previously used. I worked in the outdoor industry as a retail guru and as a rock climbing guide for 17 years and spent loads of time hiking in the Adirondacks, Wind River Range, Tetons, Ecudor, Alaska and Cascades in addition to other areas. I also own the Trango GTX and Raptor trail shoe - they are equally as impressive as the Core high top GTX. Highly recommend this boot.

I love this shoe. I haven't worn it yet but out of the box it was so comfortable. I was impressed with the reviews (from other sites) and the fact I should be comfortable with stream crossings not to get my feet wet.
My only issue is I could have used a size 44 but I think the 43 will work out fine. My options are so limited because for whatever reason, most hiking boot manufactures don't carry size 43-44 (i.e. US 11.5 - 12) and if they do it's limited to one model. Luckily, La Sportiva did offer a model. I don't understand because I can find a lot more running shoes in 11.5. I tried men's sized hiking boots but they are always way too large in the toe box.

First time writing a review, ever, because these boots delivered on the promise of breathability!!! I usually tear off my hiking boots every chance I get to let my sweaty socks dry off. Not anymore! Thank you for transforming my hiking experience. - BTW, the boot was great all other ways, too: comfortable right away, good grip, and, (a small detail, but great) you don't need to double tie the laces. They stay put with one go round.

Right out of the box comfortable and ready to go. Excellent grip going up or coming down, wet or dry slabs. I've been hiking for awhile and must say these are the best I've ever worn. Regrets...wish I'd had these years and miles ago.
