The best shoe I have ever. Great for heel hooking. Also great fit. They are also great for toe hooking.

This shoe is a godsend. Before trying the solution I had been through more than 10 pairs of different shoes! Now that I have found the solutions I will never go back to another shoe. For the more advanced climber these are the best shoe on the market, period. They are snug and aggressive, however, they are also extremely padded inside for maximum comfort albeit their advanced posture. Bottom line: if your serious about climbing these are your shoes.

My go to shoe for any project I need a complete shoe, from toe to heel these shoes work perfect.

This is THE shoe for steep climbing and I've even started using the solution for lower angle routes that require a lot of smearing. Being a shorter climber I frequently make use of it's downturn - to pull onto footholds and grab far away edges. The 3-D molded heel is unbeatable for heel hooks, and stays put even when you need to roll around on a heel placement. Sticky rubber on the toe makes for easy and bomber toe hooking as well. Make sure to get the right fit: these shoes stretch out quite a bit - making the break in period pretty rough - but it's worth it in the end.

My go to shoe. I used to hate the heel and I thought the toe was clunky until I sized them correctly. Now they are not only the best heel hooking shoe I've ever owned, I trust my toe to stay on anything. Although they look really similar to the Testarossa, they are quite different. The Solution is a more rigid, less sensitive shoe, whereas the Testarossa is a little more flexible and soft. Like I said, it took me a while to get to like the Solution. I liked the sensitivity of the Testarossa but once I learned to trust the Solution to stay where I put it, it has become my first choice. Honestly I can't say enough good things about the Solution. Make sure to size them rather small because they stretch out a bit once they are broken in. If you are looking for a good edging shoe for more vertical to slabby terrain I wouldn't recommend the Solution or Testorossa. Instead, go with the Miura VS. They make small edges feel like jugs.

One of my favorite all time steep climbing shoes are the Solutions. My recent trip to the Red River Gorge in Kentucky only increased my resolve that the Solutions are the best steep shoes on the market. We spent the majority of the days climbing in the wickedly steep Madness cave, and I felt confident to put my big toe on an edge and pull my weight over my hips. The Solutions are also exceptional heel and toe hookers! There were many opportunities that I took advantage of the useful toe or heel hook often on the same climb. They not only work well on super steep, but the slightly overhanging routes would also succumb to the Solution advantage. If you need to rock over on your big toe, heel hook, or toe hook like a champ you have your solution.
