Best fitting technical climbing shoe I've owned, so far.
I have very odd feet. I've always struggled to find a technical climbing shoe that's wide enough to fit comfortably while still being technical and aggressive enough for harder routes. This is the closest I've come to finding that balance. It's a great shoe, stiffer and more durable than the katana, a lot more accurate.

Fills a void in the Sportiva line up
Love this shoe. My favorite sport climbing shoe has always been the Solution, but have had a hard time finding a shoe in the La Sportiva line the fills the technical trad climbing niche. I could really never fall in love with TC Pros, and the Katanas have always been on the narrow side for my foot. I feel like this shoe really fills this void in the Sportiva line for me. Its a bit like combining the 5.10 Anasazi with Solution. More durable and better edging than the Anasazi, and not as aggressive as the Solution. It really feels like you are cheating when on technical edging terrain, and also smears pretty well. Love this shoe. I wear an 8.5 street shoe, 38 in the Solution, Futura and Otaki.

RAD!
Five stars all the way. The most comfortable high performance shoe I've ever worn. I can wear this shoe for almost anything aside from jamming cracks. It is quickly becoming my new go-to shoe. Stoked on the Otaki! I found it fits a little on the big side after break-in. A size 41 feels larger than my 41.5 Solutions.

I'm a fan for vertical to slightly overhung.
I am extremely impressed with this shoe. I find it precise and powerful in its transfer from foot to rock. It truly feels like laser precision as the p3 platform and other internal technologies (XSEDGE) keeps this shoe stiff on edge and powerful over the big toe. I have been a diehard Miura and Testarossa fan but for vertical and slightly steep terrain this is fast becoming my go to shoe. I have not tried it on granite yet. Sizing wise i wear this in the same size as my miura and testarossa and I've been mostly happy. I will say that this shoe seems to be more tailored to a lower volume foot and has a bit less asymmetry than some of the other La Sportiva top performers that I typically prefer. For this reason I find the break in under my mid foot to be a bit more painful but it continues to break in and especially after wearing them in the shower for 10 minutes. This thing excels as vertical to slightly overhanging edging, not as much a performer for super steep cave terrain. It is amazing to me that La Sportiva continues to come out with more and more specialized shoes that perform as well as they do in their particular niche. Just don't ever get rid of the miura and mythos.
