ABOUT:

Climbing has been an integral part of my life since I was a little girl growing up amidst the Canadian Rockies. I love climbing for its community, its challenges, and its ability to take me to some of the most beautiful places in the world. Growing up, I focused mainly on competition climbing and sport climbing in the Bow Valley near Canmore, Alberta. Since moving to Squamish, British Columbia in 2013, I have enjoyed the diversity and adventurous nature of trad and multi-pitch climbing. Developing a wide range of skills has allowed me to be involved in more adventurous climbing trips and even put up first ascents in remote areas of the world including Morocco and Greenland. Climbing is the gift that keeps on giving.

Working as a Registered Nurse in my local emergency department allows me to maintain a balance between work and play, with a heavy emphasis on the play!

Q+A:

Who is your favorite climbing partner?  

My husband, Tom, is my go-to partner for all things adventure. We met at a climbing gym, and since then have been all over the world together. Climbing is our jam.

What is your go-to hype song?

Body Funk – Purple Disco Machine

What was the first La Sportiva product you tried?  

The Solutions – still one of my go-to shoes to this day.

Which charity/advocacy organizations do you support or belong to?

I belong to a number of advocacy organizations that I believe in, including the Squamish Access Society (SAS) and POW Canada. Both of these organizations are well run and dedicated to the betterment of my home and the planet.
