Beth Rodden grew up in the flatlands Davis, CA. Her dad introduced her to climbing when she was a teenager and she quickly took off. Her first handful of years were spent competing around the world. But she found her true passion when she started climbing outside. She quickly climbed America's first 5.14, "To Bolt Or Not To Be", and then transitioned into traditional climbing. With three free ascents of El Cap and numerous first free ascents of single pitch traditional and sport climbs, she's established herself as one of the most well-rounded climbers around. Her energy the past few years has changed from climbing hard to her young son, Theo. The natural environment and mountains have enriched her life so much, she's doing her best to make sure they do the same for him.
