Job Location: Boulder, Colorado

Job Description: 
The Lead Graphic Designer is responsible for creating eye-catching designs and the production of all La Sportiva print and digital collateral.  This includes print advertising, annual catalog(s), sales collateral, SWAG and all other materials for La Sportiva N.A.  The Lead Graphic Designer will be able to execute all creative assets within budget and by the deadline.  This position supports the Marketing and Sales Departments by creating visually stunning assets and materials.  This position reports to the Marketing Director.

Key Responsibilities: 

1)    Design
• Ability to concept designs within La Sportiva Brand Guidelines.
• Provides creative design solutions to produce visually engaging materials.
• Maintains a fresh and up to date look for the brand in alignment with the brand heritage.
• Excellent knowledge of design fundamentals, layout, font and image use for all variety of media.
• Stays ahead of design trends and implements within Brand Guidelines

2)    Print Graphics Production
• Design, layout, and prep of files for:
  - Print Advertising
  - Annual Catalog (s)
  - Bi-Annual Workbooks
  - Monthly sales collateral (specials, etc)
  - POP program materials: posters, handouts, charts, etc.
  - All other miscellaneous print materials such as: tech sheets, employee/pro-purchase forms, comparison charts, and business cards, etc.
• Executes and submits all finished ads to the media by deadlines
• Responsible for the organization and storage and archiving of all photographic images and artwork

3)    Digital Graphics Production
• Produces graphics for and email marketing campaigns
• Designs digital advertising including website banner ads, social media ads, and all other web graphics. 

4)    Product Graphics 
• Illustrator work for product graphics

• Strong graphic design skills
• Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Cloud) (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Bridge/Lightroom) on a Mac Platform 
• Excellent photo-editing ability and processing from RAW.
• Video editing skills a major plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Well organized with excellent follow through
• Detail oriented with strong time management skills
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Available to work a flexible schedule to meet deadlines
• Excellent creative thinking skills

Digital Production Graphics Intern

Job Location: Boulder, Colorado

Job Description: 
The Digital Production Graphics Intern role is to support the Marketing Department by producing creative and effective web graphics that support the La Sportiva N.A. Marketing messages and initiatives. This role will primarily create images for and our social media channels in addition to some print graphic production and other marketing-related tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create images for social media
• Create images for the La Sportiva N.A. website
• Update content and copy on La Sportiva N.A. website
• Photo cleanup and processing from photoshoots
• Assist in the creation of email marketing campaigns
• Assist in the creation of digital advertising assets

• Student working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic or Digital Design
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite on Mac platform, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Experience with creating graphics for both web and print
• Experience with photo editing and cleanup
• Basic web design & HTML/CSS knowledge
• Knowledge of design theory, photo composition/cropping and typography best practices
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience communicating messages and ideas with images instead of words
• Strong time management skills
• Accuracy and results oriented: strong attention to detail and deadlines
• Understanding/familiarity with the Outdoor Industry or participation in Climbing, Trail Running, Hiking or Skiing activities
• Ability to independently seek information, troubleshoot and ask questions for understanding and clarification
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and "wear multiple hats"
• Must live in Boulder/Denver or surrounding area, this is not a remote position

Postition Details:
• Schedule: 2-3 days a week
• Hours per Week: 16-24
• Wage/Salary: Unpaid
