Sales Director

Reports To: President
Job Location:

Position Summary: 
La Sportiva North America, the leader in outdoor technical mountain apparel and footwear, is seeking a Sales Director position to manage and grow North American sales. The Sales Director position reports to the President and is responsible for all aspects of sales for La Sportiva in North America. The position focuses on increasing and maintaining business in accordance with the business strategy set forth by the brand. The Sales Director is responsible for sales activities within the limits of corporate policies and programs and is encouraged to explore all aspects of sales and marketing to facilitate healthy growth within the marketplace. The Sales Director works closely with the Marketing department and is responsible for unifying sales and marketing in conjunction with the Marketing Director. The sales director is responsible for managing dealer sales, pro sales, retail e-com sales and the retail factory store in Boulder. 

Basic Qualifications: 
• Five years professional sales director experience. 

• Five years of experience in the outdoor market with a deep understanding of the climbing, mountaineering, trail running, hiking and ski mountaineering categories. 

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, proven experience translating complex and technical 
concepts into compelling and clear messages for specific audiences.

• Detail and data oriented, with proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and 
delivering results within stringent deadlines. 

• Highly technologically savvy, with proficiency in ERP systems (Netsuite) and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

• Willingness and ability to travel extensively in North America (Mexico, Canada and the US).

Preferred Qualifications: 
• Extensive experience managing multiple rep groups and working with key dealers 

• Experience managing omni-channel sales strategies for various product lines

• Proven track record effectively integrating sales and marketing strategies

Here's your chance to be a part of the first store in North America and connect with our Front Range outdoor enthusiasts in a quickly growing full service retail experience.
We're looking for great personalities with retail, ski and climbing/mountaineering experience preferred.
Must have at least 3 weekends available per month (Saturday/Sunday) and up to 15-20 hours per week.

Digital Production Graphics Intern

Job Location: Boulder, Colorado

Job Description: 
The Digital Production Graphics Intern role is to support the Marketing Department by producing creative and effective web graphics that support the La Sportiva N.A. Marketing messages and initiatives. This role will primarily create images for and our social media channels in addition to some print graphic production and other marketing-related tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create images for social media
• Create images for the La Sportiva N.A. website
• Update content and copy on La Sportiva N.A. website
• Photo cleanup and processing from photoshoots
• Assist in the creation of email marketing campaigns
• Assist in the creation of digital advertising assets

• Student working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic or Digital Design
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite on Mac platform, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Experience with creating graphics for both web and print
• Experience with photo editing and cleanup
• Basic web design & HTML/CSS knowledge
• Knowledge of design theory, photo composition/cropping and typography best practices
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience communicating messages and ideas with images instead of words
• Strong time management skills
• Accuracy and results oriented: strong attention to detail and deadlines
• Understanding/familiarity with the Outdoor Industry or participation in Climbing, Trail Running, Hiking or Skiing activities
• Ability to independently seek information, troubleshoot and ask questions for understanding and clarification
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and "wear multiple hats"
• Must live in Boulder/Denver or surrounding area, this is not a remote position

Postition Details:
• Schedule: 2-3 days a week
• Hours per Week: 16-24
• Wage/Salary: Unpaid
• Internship Employment Date Range: ASAP - 2018
