Nick Elson

ABOUT:

Nick is a runner, skier and climber based in Squamish, BC. He is motivated by challenge and exploration in the mountains, whether it’s on foot, on skis or tied into a rope. Different objectives, from fast trail races to technical climbs and steep ski descents, keep him motivated to train and improve. He’s particularly inspired by adventures that blur the lines between different mountain disciplines and require a combination of physical fitness, technical skill, and mental toughness.

PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

1. The fastest known time on the Grand Traverse in the Tetons
2. Running races including twice winning the Squamish 50, twice winning the Canadian Mountain Running Championships, placing 2nd at the Mt. Marathon Race in Alaska, and placing 6th at TNF50
3. Ski Mountaineering Races including winning two Canadian Championships, finishing 15th at the Pierra Menta, and representing Canada at two ISMF World Championships
4. Fastest known times on skis including the Spearhead Traverse, the Garibaldi Neve, the Tantalus Traverse, the McBride Traverse, Mt. Baker, and Mt. Rainier ascent
5. Alpine ascents including the Cassin Ridge on Denali, the North Face of the Eiger, and new routes in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia
